Ljubljana, 10 November (STA) - Slovenia's industrial output rose by 6.9% in the first nine months year-on-year, show fresh data released by the Statistics Office on Friday. In September alone the output rose by 1.3% on the month before and by 8.6% year-on-year.
Crucial for monthly growth were the manufacturing and the electricity, gas and steam supply sectors (+1.6% both) as well and mining and quarrying (+1.4%).
Leading the increase on the nine-month level was medium-high-technology manufacturing, where production was 12.5% higher.
In September industrial enterprises generated 1.8% more turnover than in August, mostly due to manufacturing (+2%). At the annual level, turnover increased by 11.2%.
The value of stocks of finished and unfinished production in September was up 1.7% on August and 6.7% higher on the annual level.« Back
