Slovenian exec tipped to become boss of Avtovaz

Moscow, 09 February (STA) - Slovenian executive Aleš Bratož is tipped to become the new boss of Russian car maker Avtovaz, which is owned by Renault-Nissan alliance, Russian media have reported.

Bratož is currently serving as the second in command at Avtovaz and is expected to replace Nicolas Maure, who became Renault's president for the Eurasian region in January, Interfax news agency reported.

He served as the chief executive of Renault-owned car assembly plant Revoz between 2008 and 2013, before transferring first to Turkish-based plant Oyak Renault and then in 2016 to Avtovaz.

The stint at Avtovaz is not his first Russian venture since he headed Avtoframos in Moscow for three years prior to taking over at Revoz.
