Ljubljana, 08 September (STA) - Industrial output in Slovenia grew by 0.5% in July on the wings of a 20% increase in revenue generated in mining and quarrying, the Statistics Office said on Friday.
The lowest increase was recorded in manufacturing (0.3%), while the revenue of companies supplying electricity, gas and steam was up by 1.6%.
Data for the first six months of 2017 show a 7.1% growth in industrial output year-on-year. The biggest increase was again recorded in mining and quarrying (13.7%). Processing companies followed with a 7.5% increase, while energy supply revenue grew by 0.9%.
The revenue of industrial companies increased by 2.1% in July over June, the statistics show. Moreover, the revenue generated in the first seven months of the year increased by 7.6% year-on-year.
The value of stock was 0.8% lower in July over June, while the value of stock between January and July was 5.7% higher than in the same period of 2016.« Back
