The 190 year old company from Kidričevo in eastern Slovenia will be the prestigious German carmaker’s exclusive supplier of die-cast profiles made from low weight aluminum alloys for BMW's new model of electric SUV, which will hit markets in 2021. The profiles will also be used in BMW’s premium series hybrid cars. To fulfill the commitment Impol will have to increase its capacities. Investments in the new 3,000 square meters large hall will amount to 6 million euros. The new facility will be largely automated and will operate according to the so-called Industry 4.0 principles. Impol is the sixth largest Slovenian exporter. The Company's revenues exceeded 800 million euros in 2018.
