Ljubljana, 15 February (STA) - Despite the Covid-19 epidemic, the value of construction work in Slovenia was up by 0.4% last year compared to 2019, the Statistics Office has reported. The year-on-year growth was, however, lower by 2.9 percentage points compared to the growth in 2019.
The value of construction work on buildings was lower by 3.3% compared to 2019, as the work on residential buildings was up by 14.8% and work on non-residential buildings down by 9.4%.
The value of construction work on civil engineering structures was up by 2.4%, the Statistics Office said on Monday.
In December alone, it was down compared to November, by 13.1%. The value of construction work in that month was down on the monthly basis by 8% for buildings, and by 17.2% for civil engineering structures.
