Cannes, 11 March (STA) - The SPIRIT agency for the promotion of entrepreneurship, investment and tourism and the city of Ljubljana will promote Slovenia as an investment destination at the MIPIM international real estate show, which opened in Cannes, France on Tuesday and will run until Friday.
Slovenia will be promoted under the motto "Housing & Jobs", the agency said in a press release, adding that MIPIM is a great opportunity for the country to show its investment potential as well as ongoing investment projects.
Last year, Slovenia presented the NUK II project of the new building of the National and University Library, the ŠUMI business centre and the project of partial closure of Slovenska cesta, the main thoroughfare in Ljubljana.
This year, residential buildings in the Ljubljana boroughs of Brdo and Polje will be presented; potential investors will also have the opportunity to get acquainted with the Ljubljana logistic terminal project, which will provide some 890 new jobs.
The MIPIM show is one of the biggest international real estate shows and a great opportunity to learn about the latest trends in investments, projects in the market and meet investors as well as consultants from the field, the agency added.
Some 1,900 exhibitors and over 4,000 investors from 83 countries are expected at the show this year, according to the MIPIM official website.
Additionally, the SPIRIT agency plans to present Slovenia at real estate shows in Moscow, Milan, Munich and Stockholm.
