Ljubljana, 05 December (STA) - A joint district energy project of heating valves maker Danfoss Trata and energy company Petrol has won this year's AmCham competition for best business practice, termed Best of the Best.
The winner of the networking category, one of three categories of the competition, "Slovenia, Connected through Energy: Showroom of Global Trends", has three goals.
It organises an international summer school on district energy for established professionals and talents, or future creators of new technologies.
It provides information about smart solutions in district energy, thus raising the awareness about emission reductions.
The third goal is to bring together district energy experts engaged in creating energy-efficient solutions from around the globe.
Last year its summer school was attended by over 40 energy professionals from ten European countries, who helped develop innovative technological solutions.
Presenting the project at AmCham's event on Thursday, Milan Jungič from Danfoss Trata and Amer Karabegović from Petrol said it proved that by working together, companies could turn competition to their mutual advantage. They believe the project could develop into a platform for development breakthrough.
AmCham Slovenija has organised the Best of the Best competition for the fifth year running in a bid to promote and reward cases of best business practice.
The chamber believes the competition has introduced to Slovenia new know-how, approaches, products, processes and business models in an innovative way.
