Ljubljana, 11 January (STA) - Slovenia's industrial output was up by 0.2% in November 2020 compared with the month before, but dropped 0.8% year-on-year. In the first eleventh months of last year, industrial output was down 6.7%, the Statistics Office reported on Monday.
The value of production in mining and quarrying was up by 8.1% compared with October, and in manufacturing it increased by 0.1%.
On the other hand, output in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply sector was down by 0.6%.
In November, the total turnover in industry increased for the seventh month in a row, rising by 1.7% from October as the domestic market recorded a 0.6% drop and foreign markets saw a 2.2% growth.
Year-on-year, industrial output in Slovenia last November was down by 0.8%, with the largest drop in output recorded in the production of products for investments (-4.6%).
The total turnover in industry at the annual level decreased by 0.7%, and it was down in both the domestic and foreign markets, by 2.2% and 0.4%, respectively.
Industrial inventories were down by 1.2% from October and down 0.8% from November 2019.
In the first eleventh months of 2020, industrial output was down 6.7% and the total turnover in industry by 8.5%, while industrial inventories were up by 1.7% year-on-year.
