Ljubljana, 05 August (STA) - Hella Saturnus Slovenija, the subsidiary of the German Hella group, generated EUR 389.23m in net sales revenue in the business year that ended in May 2018, a 3.7% increase on 2017. The company's net profit rose by 71.5% to EUR 13.74m.
"The success of automotive industry differs region to region. Currently, the growth of production volume is highest in the Asia-Pacific region. Moderate growth is predicted until 2021," said Hella Saturnus in its business report and added that some production companies already began closing production facilities.
The Ljubljana-based company's production and sales range includes car headlights and radar logotype covers for the automotive industry.
The increase in net profit is a result of production automation and added value product sales.
The largest buyer of Hella Saturnus products is the Renault-Nissan group with a 42% share. The Volkswagen group as the second largest client has a 30% share.
The total value of investments in 2018 was EUR 38.5m, EUR 21.35m in new projects.
Hella Saturnus expects to generate EUR 383m in sales revenue in 2019, with an increase in net profit, and projects a similar stable trend to continue in the coming years.
Last year, Hella Saturnus Slovenija had a workforce of 1870, 303 more than the year before.
