Velenje, 13 August (STA) - Home appliances maker Gorenje is carrying out preparations for a dual listing on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. A formal proposal will be put to the company's shareholders at the 23 August annual general meeting, the company confirmed Tuesday.
The management and supervisory boards of Gorenje believe the secondary listing in Warsaw will improve liquidity given the poor liquidity on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange.
The dual listing is part of an agreement with Japanese electronics maker Panasonic, which agreed in early July to acquire a strategic minority stake in Gorenje.
Panasonic will enter Gorenje through a capital increase, which will also be decided at the shareholders' meeting.
