Ljubljana, 19 November (STA) - Factory gate prices in Slovenia rose 0.3% in October. Compared to October 2009, prices in industry were up by 3.5%, the Statistics Office said in a release on Friday.
The prices of export products were up by 0.1% in October, whereas those of products intended for the domestic market were up by 0.4%.
A breakdown of product groups shows that prices in October rose the most in raw materials (by 0.4%) and investments (0.4%), followed by energy prices (0.3%). Factory prices of consumer products remained flat.
In a yearly comparison, prices in the steel production sector rose 18.2%, water distribution by 10.6% and textiles sector by 10.3%.
Meanwhile, compared to October 2009, prices were down in printing and copying (6.8%), electricity supply (1.4%) and electronics production (0.8%).
