QUALITY LINK TO REGIONAL MARKETS
Location of choice for investors ready to tap into fast-growing emerging markets on the Balkans and in East Europe As the SEE countries line up to join the EU, Slovenia's long-standing links with companies and individuals are an asset. Fluency in local languages, knowledge of corporate culture, economic and judicial system, and ever-increasing outward investment are an asset. Today, Slovenia's trade with the countries in the region is closing on one-fifth of its exports. New rounds of EU enlargement and the relationship with partner countries of the European Neighbourhood Policy is high on the agenda of Slovenia’s Presidency of the enlarged EU family in the first half of 2008. Slovenia boasts enviable penetration of information and communication technology measured by the number of PCs, Internet users, web sites, call centres, and access to e-Government. Together with good transport and communication connections with the regional administrative, trade and industrial centres, Slovenia has all the attributes of a hub for business services, customer support centres, and logistics and distribution HQs. The representative offices of JAPTI serve to enhance Slovenia’s presence and build public awareness of its trade and investment potential in the host countries. They facilitate partnership and media relations building by combining in-depth knowledge of the source and target countries.
