15.11.2007 Ski Resort Ribniško Pohorje Maribor The programme covers the construction of a ski and wellness tourist complex of a »mountain resort« type, including: 1. Ski lifts and ski slopes from the Ribnica na Pohorju village to the existing ski slopes at the Ribniška koča hut at Pohorje: 2. A hotel and an apartment complex in Ribnica na Pohorju; 3. Three smaller apartment complexes: »Pesnik«, »Smolnik«, and »Pri Ribniški koči«. Location The Ski Resort in located in the heart of west Pohorje, in the northern part of Slovenia. Description With its altitude of 715-1,543 m, predominantly pine forests and favourable climate conditions, the Ribniško Pohorje massif is an attractive mountain venue for the sustainable development of winter tourism, wellness tourism and climatic health resort. Featuring numerous peaks and long ridges, as well as fine traffic accessibility, the West Pohorje relief provides excellent conditions for the development of the most beautiful winter tourism centre in northeast Slovenia. Pine forests, mountain climate and oxygen-rich air provide excellent conditions for the development of a climatic health resort. The Ski Resort Ribniško Pohorje development programme is in accordance with all modern tourist demand trends in comparable ski resort across Europe. 1. Ski resort The Ski Resort, featuring approximately 80 ha of ski slopes, a system for artificial snow production, 2 quads or six pack chairlifts, 8 ski lifts, and 6 km of cross-country tracks, will provide optimal conditions for the development of an integral winter tourist offer. To further stimulate the development of winter tourism, new ski lift infrastructure and new ski slopes running from the Ribniška koča hut to Ribnica na Pohorju are planned. In the future, the Ski Resort Ribniško Pohorje will be connected with the existing GTC Kope Ski Center by two ski lifts to Hudi kot. The natural landscape and location of the new tourist infrastructure provide excellent opportunities for the development of winter, wellness, spa, congress, hiking, biking, golf, adventure and farm tourism. The tourist offer of active holidays and wellness in the heart of untouched mountains will prove suitable for all generations, guest groups and seasons. 2. Hotel and apartment settlement The hotel and apartment complex in Ribnica na Pohorju is located on a building site between the ski slope and the village. Guests will be able to make use of approximately 800 high-quality 3*-4* beds (250 beds in 2 hotels and 550 beds in 11 apartment houses), hotel restaurants, shops and sports equipment rental stores, 2 indoor pools and numerous wellness facilities including whirlpools, saunas, fitness rooms and massage rooms to further improve the mountain wellness offer. 3. Smaller apartment settlements The smaller apartment complexes in Pesnik, Smolnik and at Ribnška koča will provide a total of approximately 600 beds (17 apartment houses of various types 3*-4*). The Pesnik apartment complex is located at the upper quads chairlift station Pesnik, the Smolnik apartment complex is located at the lower six pack chairlift station Smolnik, and the apartment complex at the Ribniška koča hut is located not far from the existing Ribniška koča mountain hut, under the Mali Črni Vrh Mountain. On the diverse plain around Ribnica, there is enough space to build a golf course with 18 holes. Estimated investment value in EUR 1. Ski resort 16,000,000 2.
