Airport Operator Posts Higher Revenues, Profit Drops Date: 05/16/2008 Ljubljana, 16 May (STA) - Aerodrom Ljubljana, the operator of the Ljubljana airport, increased revenues 20% year-on-year in the first quarter, to EUR 8.2m. Net profit dipped 7% to EUR 1.45m, the company said on Friday. Just over 308,000 passengers travelled through the Ljubljana airport in the first three months of the year, an increase of 22% over the same period in 2007. Charter passengers accounted for 6% of the total, while budget carriers EasyJet and Wizzair carried 7% of all passengers, down from 14% last year. The number of takeoffs and landings was up 7% to 10,628. Aerodrom Ljubljana remained virtually level on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange today, at EUR 104.5. |
