Catez ob Savi, 08 May (STA) - The supervisors of the leading Slovenian spa operator Terme Catez accepted the resignation of Mladen Kucis on Wednesday, and appointed Bojan Petan to his position as director, the company said on Thursday. Petan is already the CEO of publisher DZS, the largest single owner of Terme Catez.

Kucis resigned due to personal reasons, the company said. Kucis will remain on board as the management's proxy. At their meeting, the supervisors also discussed the company's operations in 2007 and the first quarter of 2008, and plans for this year. The spa operator recorded revenues to the tune of EUR 6.2m in the first three months of the year, a 7.1% rise year-on-year. Net profit meanwhile increased by 8.1% to just over EUR 675,000. DZS was the largest shareholder of Terme Catez with 24.07% end of March, followed by the state-run KAD fund with 23.79%, and Towra from Luxembourg with 14.35%.
