Banka Celje Posts EUR 14.9m Net Loss for 2011
Celje, 19 April (STA) - Banka Celje, a member of the NLB group, ended 2011 with EUR 14.9m net loss, mostly due to EUR 53.3m in impairments and provisions.
Net profit before impairments and provisions stood at EUR 34.7m, while
total assets stood at EUR 2.491bn at the end of 2011, the bank said on
Thursday.
The bank has yet to publish its annual report, but it said
that it had retained a stable capital position, with the capital adequacy
ratio at 14.42% and Tier 1 capital ratio at 10.65%.
The bank's
supervisors, which met on Wednesday to review the results, announced that
the meeting of shareholders will be held on 31 May.
Banka Celje is
Slovenia's sixth largest bank by assets. The biggest shareholder, market
leader NLB, has been trying to offload its 41% stake in the Celje-based
bank.
