Industrial output up 7.4% y/y in November

Ljubljana, 10 January (STA) - Slovenia's industrial output was up 7.4% year-on-year in November, resulting in a 6.3% annual increase for the first eleven months of the year, show the latest Statistics Office data.

Manufacturing recorded an 8.9 increase on the year before as the only sector to grow. Mining declined by 13.6% and electricity, steam and gas supply dropped by 3.5%.

At the monthly level the industrial output was up 0.9%, with manufacturing growing by 1.2% and electricity supply by 1%. Mining output contracted by over a quarter.

Industrial revenue grew at a slower pace than output, rising by 6.5% year-on-year and 0.9% at the monthly level.

Inventories continued to rise, increasing by 7.7% year-on-year and 0.7% at the monthly level.
